The Nanit Sound and Light device can store up to 5 different Wi-Fi networks, allowing you to travel to the grandparents or your vacation home without needing to re-pair the device over and over – after pairing that network once, the device should recognize the stored network by itself on your next visit. Note, if performing reset to the device, ALL stored networks will be wiped out.
In order to pair the device with another Wi-Fi network, go to the Network Settings menu in the Nanit Sound and Light app and tap “Pair to a new network”, then follow the in-app instructions (that are also listed below).
- Make sure the device is connected to the power (Plug the cable to the device, then plug the cable to the USB adapter and then plug the power adapter into the outlet).
- Make sure that the power switch located on the bottom of the device is set to “On”.
- press and hold the two top back buttons (brightness up and volume up) for 5 seconds, until the device will flash its lights 3 times and will flash the letter ‘P’ on the front 3 times.
- Once the app successfully locates your device, you’ll be asked to select your desired Wi-Fi network. Note – the Nanit Sound and Light supports only 2.4GHz networks, which are secured (at least WPA2).
- Type in your Wi-Fi password.
