About the Live tab
When you open the Nanit app, you’ll be greeted with the Live tab. The live tab allows you to quickly access Nanit’s live video stream, take a photo, turn on the night light, play a lullaby, and more.
Depending on how you’re connected to the Nanit Camera, the pink icon on your video feed will be either a home icon or a pink dot.
- You are connected locally.
- You are connected remotely.
Live feed - The live video feed shows your camera stream and the current temperature and humidity near the camera. If you have an active Insights plan, you’ll be greeted by the Welcome Message–your child’s most recent event, at a glance.
Live Feed View Options
Enter Split Screen View - To switch to split screen, tap the two-bar icon in the top right corner of the screen. You can display up to three cameras simultaneously.
Zoom out (in single or Split Screen view) - The live tab experience is focused on monitoring your baby, so the feed will be slightly cropped. To see the entire feed, simply double tap the screen. This position will be kept until you double tap again.
Switch cameras - If you have multiple Nanit cameras paired to your account, you can switch between them by tapping on the Hamburger menu and then selecting the camera. Alternatively, you can swipe between your cameras from the single view screen. You also have the option to toggle between single view and Split Screen using the bar icon in the top right corner.
Reorder - change the order of the cameras shown in Split Screen. You are able to monitor up to 3 cameras at the same time using Split Screen. If you have more than three cameras, you can choose which you’d like to see in the Split Screen settings.
Enter Full Screen View - You can access Nanit’s full screen live feed from the Live tab by tapping anywhere on the live video feed.
Zoom in/out (in full screen view) - To zoom in on the video feed, simply tap the screen to enter full screen mode and then pinch the screen outwards. Once you’re zoomed in, you can drag one finger on the screen to pan (view different areas of the feed).
Pan (in full screen view) - drag your finger across the screen to pan and see other areas of the camera’s video stream.
Exit Full Screen View - tap anywhere on the live video feed to return to Nanit’s single view or Split Screen
